Marina – Dune Rehabilitation

This oil painting depics a Hout Bay seascape with the Dude Rehabilitation Project as foreground and an clear atmosphere to brighten up any space were it would hang in. The colours in this painting are predominately lime green with an band of teal, capturing the essence of the ocean. The City of Cape Town successfully reduced the accumulation of windblown sand with wind nets installed, marram grass planting, dune thicket vegetation planting, seeding, selective irrigation and intensive maintenance.
